Acupuncture is an ancient form of Chinese medicine that is based on the theory that energy called Qi flows through the body along invisible channels called meridians. When the body is balanced and healthy, Qi flows freely through the meridians, however, if energy becomes blocked it can result in both physical, and emotional issues.

Acupuncture is the practice of strategically placing needles through the skin in specific locations along meridian pathways which can effectively improve the flow of Qi to restore health and prevent disease.

In recent years, Acupuncture has gained wide spread recognition among the general public and medical community as a method of treating a variety of health related conditions including but not limited to acute and chronic pain; fibromyalgia; auto-immune related diseases such as rhematoid arthritis; digestive disorders; allergies; diabetes; infertility; headaches; anxiety, depression and shift work syndrome. Other therapies include facial rejuvenation which tightens and firms skin, reduces fine lines and wrinkles, stimulates collagen production and helps reduce the appearance of scars.

Cupping

Cupping Therapy is a time-honored traditional treatment used by millions of people worldwide. Cupping uses suction to treat painful or swollen areas by increasing blood flow and lymph drainage to the skin, muscles, and underlying structures. It is remarkably effective in treating a variety of disorders.

When the cups are placed on the body, the pulling action of the cups engage the parasympathetic nervous system, which allows for a deep relaxed state. It is not unusual to fall asleep while receiving this treatment. People are often surprised at how relaxed, warm, and light they feel, hours and even days afterwards.

Cupping draws out toxins from the body, which helps maintain optimal health. Many chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, constipation, anxiety, fatigue, headaches, fibromyalgia, and neuralgia can be effectively treated with cupping. Traumatic injuries, stubborn orthopedic conditions, and slow-to-heal sports injuries can also be helped.

Cupping is a valuable adjunct treatment that aides in detoxification programs and weight loss protocols in addition to improving skin tone and turgor, all which help you look and feel your best.

Cupping can be combined with an Acupuncture treatment or used as a stand-alone treatment.
