Physical Therapist Assistant
Lori attained her undergraduate at Montclair State University, graduating in 1992 with a Bachelor's degree in Biology prior to returning to school to pursue her passion for the physical therapy field. She has been actively involved in sports that began during her days at Montclair. Lori was two-sport athlete at MSU participating in volleyball and swimming, and taking on a leadership role as swim team Captain in 1990.
A Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in New Jersey, Lori graduated 2014 with an Applied Science degree from Essex County College with Phi Theta Kappa High Honors. She has clinical experience in both inpatient and outpatient and loves the multi-disciplinary settings including integrative approaches to health and wellness.
Sparks reignited eleven years ago when Lori Amati began to work as a nationally certified massage therapist and knew she’d found her calling. Warm, compassionate, and a people person, this mother of three chose to continue her education once her children began high school and fulfill her dream of working in the profession of physical therapy. Lori wants the best possible outcome for all her patients and is thrilled to inspire others and be a part of the Physical Therapy Team at Paramus Medical and Sports Rehabilitation Center.
In addition, Lori is an active member of the US Health QiGong Association and has competed in the 4th International Health Qigong Tournament and Exchange in Vancouver 2011. Her many interests include continuing education, sports and photography.
