Physical Therapist Assistant
Sharon has been a dedicated member of the Physical Therapy Team at Paramus Medical & Sports Rehabilitation for over 10 years. She has over 15 years of experience in treating orthopedic and sports-related injuries. She received her Associate’s Degree in Applied Sciences at Shelby State/Memphis State College and is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA).
Sharon’s primary interests lie in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, and she has extensive experience working with a wide variety of patients of various ages and activity levels. Her treatment philosophy is to empower patients through education and exercise to overcome their injuries.
Sharon has completed the IMX Pilates Rehabilitation series and uses Pilates-based exercises with many of her patients. Sharon continues to expand her knowledge and skill base with ongoing continuing education courses. She is currently working towards her certification in CKTP (Certified Kinesio-Taping Practitioner).
Sharon became interested in the field beginning in her youth as a high school gymnast and athlete. She also is a former Certified Personal Trainer, and has worked with a diverse group of clients. She is the mother to three teenage athletes with whom she uses her knowledge and expertise not only to help them develop their skills but prevent sports-related injuries.
